Before you install Panfan, learn about our fan types - PFV - PFC
PFV fan type
If you’re building new or renovating your bathroom the ‘PFV’ fan type is for you. The ‘PFV’ uses a 40mm pipe to vent air directly from the toilet bowl to the outside of the house! Public toilets etc...
The fan unit is placed outside the toilet tank, it is connected inline within the vent pipe which enters the tank above the water level. The fan creates a vacuum within the air cavity of the tank, drawing odours directly from the bowl using the internal overflow pipe as the air passage way between the bowl and the top of the tank. Odours and bacteria are then expelled directly outside, up to 20 metres away. The duct pipe would be typically fitted within the wall cavity, in a cupboard behind the toilet or on the outside of the building.
The Panfan vented fan model - PFV - only comes as mains power, using a power adaptor - (240~110Vac to 6Vdc)
There are two switching options:
- Manual - PFVacM - Timer switch control
- Auto - PFVacA - Auto sensor
Refer to "Order Your Panfan" for more details
If venting is too difficult or impractical, we have the PFC model. The fan type you need depends on how your toilet tank mechanisms, tank size and configuration.
Each fan type is powered by either mains supply or battery power and the fan activation is by either a manual switch or touch free auto sensor.
